AC mini-split systems offer a vast range of benefits.
- Easy and noninvasive installation
- Manageable maintenance requirements
- Separate air handlers and thermostats for every zone or room
- Sufficient cooling power for up to eight zones
Our AC mini-split installation begins with accurate equipment sizing. We’ll use the Manual J load calculation to determine the correct number of BTUs for your home. We’ll then prepare a concrete or composite pad for the installation of your outdoor condenser unit in the backyard or side yard. A ductless mini-split’s condenser connects to one or more air handlers at the building interior via electrical wiring and copper refrigerant lines. Only a single, small-sized hole must get drilled in the exterior wall of each service area to accommodate these connections.
Mini-split maintenance is a cinch. Once your AC mini-split gets installed, you’ll need to clean the filters in each of its air handlers every 21 to 30 days. Mini-split air filters only need replacing just once annually. However, as with all other residential cooling equipment, your ductless cooling system must be professionally maintained every six to 12 months. This is essential for remaining compliant with all relevant equipment warranties. It also keeps ductless systems working like they should. During these services, we calibrate all thermostats throughout the building, inspect and clean all indoor and outdoor components, and replace worn parts as needed.
When problems arise, you can count on us to accurately diagnose and resolve them. From short cycling to the provision of insufficient cool air, we can catch and correct issues early on to keep your cooling costs under control and extend the life span of your equipment.
